Dermalogica Targeted Treatments 09/16/2010
If you have specific skincare concerns, Dermalogica’s Face Mapping system is a great way to identify any problem areas and to find which products are best suited for your skin, such as products from the Dermalogica Targeted Treatments range. Dermalogica’s Face Mapping system has been developed by the International Dermal Institute exclusively for Dermalogica and is a revolutionary way in which skin can be accurately analysed. Face Mapping divides the facial landscape into 14 zones which are each thoroughly examined to enable your core Dermalogica skincare regime to be prescribed. Sometimes your skin needs specific skincare treatments, such as for dehydrated skin, to protect against environmental exposure and for hyper-pigmentation, and Dermalogica Targeted Treatments have perfect solutions for such problems! The Dermalogica Targeted Treatments range includes specific skincare products such as Dermalogica Climate Control which is a therapeutic balm in a handy stick. This wonder balm helps heal acutely damaged skin and it provides a barrier against environmental influences such as extreme temperatures and pollution as well as providing relief from factors such as stress and hormonal fluctuations. It’s packed with nourishing and soothing ingredients such as Shea Butter, Lavender and Oat Extracts, Vitamin E and Anti-Ozonate Complex. Lips can also receive nourishing and soothing protection in the form of Dermalogica Climate Control Lip Treatment which also contains lashings of Shea Butter, Lavender and Oat Extracts, Vitamin E, etc, which work together to give relief to sore lips and lock in moisture, as well as improving lips’ natural barrier to protect from environmental damage. Why not whip yourself up a facial. Firstly, put the kettle on. No, not to drink tea, but to pour the hot water into a bowl for a good old steaming facial treatment. Grab some dried herbs and some appealing essential oil. You can even use eucalyptus oil if you're feeling a bit coldy. Chamomile and peppermint are also good choices for a facial. Whip it up in the bowl with the water. After allowing things to cool down a little, get yourself a nice fresh towel and place it over your head. Trapping all of the steam will really help to open those pores. Don't forget to make sure that you keep the sensitive eye area protected with a correctly applied moisturiser. 10 minutes steaming should suffice. After the steaming, use a flannel and firmly press in any moisture left on the skins surface. Now would also be a good time to gently wipe the skin using a gentle toning solution. Throw on some moisturiser and you're done. Well, there are a lot of solutions to this problem. Major skin care manufacturers make things called blotting sheets. Unless you've been living in a cave you'll know that blotting paper was originally designed to soak up ink. Being quick off the mark, the skin care companies decided they could adapt this idea and sell it to sufferers of oily skin. It may be a good idea to consider using these rather than adopting the traditional solution of trying to mattify with loads of make-up. I'm not sure about you, but most people know someone who wears too much make up. It just isn't a good look. Much better to pay up (or not) and pat your face dry with something a good skin care manufacturer has produced. Are you a 'congested' teenager? If so have a look at this new brand of teenage skin care products. Are you skint? Want to blot and mattify without spending any money? Then read the free mattifier post. In line with our mantra of getting to the point (If you've forgotten go to the skin care advice intro page) it's ok to use bog paper. Yes, really. Just nip into the toilet, whip off a sheet and separate it. If it's really cheap use as is, and make sure you pat, press, hold and don't swipe (we are still talking about your face here). If you still wear loads of make up and you swipe you'll look like a sad clown. Don't forget to complain to someone about the cheap toilet paper. And don't try this with that medicated toilet paper either (Y'know the stuff you can put over a comb and play a tune). |
